  4. This file contains Important Information about the 
  5. installation of this software.
  6.  
  7. NOTE:
  8. Borland Database Engine is installed by default in C:\IDAPI
  9. directory. If you change it you MUST modify the PATH statement
  10. in your AUTOEXEC.BAT.
  11.  
  12. 1) Installation
  13.  
  14. Running Setup.exe from disk #1 will start the installation
  15. program. After installation is completed you may want to
  16. Transfer your Data that you have already entered into the
  17. shareware version.
  18.  
  19. 2) Transferring Data from the shareware version into the
  20.    registered version of this software
  21.  
  22. We have included a separate program called Transfer that 
  23. can assist you in transferring the data from your shareware 
  24. version into the registered one. Just click on the Transfer 
  25. icon and follow the instructions.

  27. 3) Removing the shareware version from your system
  28.  
  29. After transferring data from the shareware version (which
  30. is not necessary if you want to start with a clean database)
  31. you should probably remove the shareware version from your
  32. system (it takes a lot of space on your hard disk).

  34. a) Windows 3.1 and Windows NT:
  35. To remove the shareware version from your system use 
  36. Uninstall program that is included in the software folder 
  37. (make sure you use the shareware version folder).

  39. b) Windows 95:
  40. To remove the shareware version from your system select 
  41. Settings/Control Panel from the Start menu. Then 
  42. double-click on Add/Remove Programs. While Install/Unistall 
  43. Tab is selected find the program name in a list box (make 
  44. sure you selected the shareware version - it will probably 
  45. have an 's' after version number) and click on it. Finally, 
  46. click on Add/Remove button.

  48. 4) Removing the registered version from your system

  50. If you want to remove the registered version from your 
  51. system use the same procedure as in 3) but select the 
  52. registered version folder.
